Springwell Nursery is a family run business. The Richardson family started their nursery project back in 1988 from humble beginnings. Over the last nineteen years the business has grown and evolved in to a delightful and charming centre for the budding gardening community around the picturesque north Essex market town of Saffron Walden.
Nestled between Saffron Walden and the quaint English village of Little Chesterford, on the B184, lies Springwell. To the unsuspecting first time visitor Springwell comes as an oasis of horticultural paradise as the true extent of its appeal is not always realised when flashing by on the road.
Springwell offers all that you would expect and much more on their four acre site. All your bedding needs are fulfilled. Both summer and winter hanging baskets and containers are a Springwell specialty. With many unusual and exotic plants in our perennial and shrub area, there is something for every herbaceous and shrub border and maybe you will even decide to plant that favourite species of native English tree or fruit bush. Whatever it is you need or desire you will find it at Springwell and with 95% of all our plants grown on site you can bet it will have been looked after and nurtured to give your plants the very best start in life.
